2017 Young Bucks Summer Day Camp Parent Pack.pdf

This Summer Camp is designed for boys ages 7-9 years old. We will be challenging these boys to develop different outdoor skills, and exploring God's Word with them throughout the day and around the evening campfires.

We will guide your son in his walk with Jesus. He will spend time each morning with one of our Teen Leaders (Apprentice Guides) as they explore the scriptures together preparing for the evening campfires. Our goal is to help these boys understand who Jesus is by being living breathing examples.

Some of the outdoor skills that will be developed during this camp will include archery, tomahawks, and firearms.

They will have the opportunity to learn archery skills using both instinct archery and hunting archery equipment. We will then test these skills out using 3D targets. This is a great way for them to prepare for upcoming hunting seasons, and they will be able to show off what they learned by competing in the Summer Camp Sportsmen's Challenge!

We will be using all types of firearms. The first priority will be teaching all of the youth firearm safety. They will have the opportunity to learns how shotguns are used in 5-Stand situations as well as learning about rifles in both sharp shooting hunting situations and on target situations at the gun range. We will also have revolvers and pistols available for target shooting as well.

Lastly, many of these boys will have to learn how to sit still and keep quiet for periods of time that I sure they are not used to, but you can always have them practice before or after camp. It may be the best skill they bring home!
